I am thinking of replacing the bioball and put in a Media Basket from mediabaskets.com. My tank has been up and running for 1 1/2 years and have some corals and fish. How Would i do this with out hurting anything.

mediabaskets.com and inTank.com in the same place thats where i was going to get one

I had the intank media basket and I also had the square in tank skimmer cup for the tunze 9002 skimmer great products.

Just remove 10% of the bio-balls at a time so you are not knocking out to much bio-filtration at one time are you going to runa fuge to or no?

I would do 10% every two or three days since you would be removing alot of bacteria and it might make it spike unless you start the fuge at the same time to counter the bio ball being removed, but it is kind of two oposite things in the line of processing since the balls process the chemicals to nitrates and the Chaeto I am assuming you are going to use just removes the nitrates and phosphates.

also if you need a JBJ 6k 4 led light for the back I have one laying around, I added a whole fuge to mine in the cabinet I converted a esshops reef sump 75 into a fuge since the smal fuge in the back was not meeting my needs.

I would but it all depends on what you are trying to keep, I found that the small fuge in the back did not really function that well and meet my need's so I added the one in the bottom. I would suggest it you would not regret it, it woud only make the system that much stronger and versatile. You could keep the balls in the back and add the fuge in the bottom and you have a ton more options for skimmer, ato's and in my opinion all the way around a better way to go for the system. as far as lighting I am using a single par30 5k led from home depot and it grows like a beast I harvest every three days and take it to my LFS stores for credit. If you do get it you will also need a esshops nano-overflow, and if you need it I will send you pics and instructions on how I installed mine. Shoot me a PM if you need advice or part numbers i am more then willing to help you get it set up. The esshops rs-75 is the only store bought one I found that would fit I looked for about three months online and in store they were either to big or a wet dry but the rs-75 fit like a glove but you have to take the doors off to get it in. Either way hit me up if you need anything.

I dont have the stock stand I can fit a 14in x 23in and 14in tall but I dont think i can use the esshops nano-overflow I dont have the roon back there I only have the 14g biocube and I want to keep the hood I like the look with the hood.
