A little over a month ago in my bio cube, I had hair algae taking over my tank and when it started had a lawnmower Blenny, 2 turbo snails, and an emerald crab die all within 24 hrs of each other. Have 2 clowns, a neon dotty, and a yellow damsel that are all doing fine. All test came back fine and in parameters and couldn’t figure out what killed them. Finally after water changes and scrubbing everything day after day to get the algae under control I am having cyano taking over all the sand. It’s a 32g biocube and I do 5 gallon water changes weekly to try and get everything cleared back up, is that too much and too often to be doing changes?

I also have a 32g biocube and do 5g weekly water changes. Questions: How long has your tank been up and running? i know you said your parameters are fine but what are the numbers KH, Ca, Mg, PO4, NO3, salinity, PH. What lights are you running, lighting schedule? what powerheads are you running and what is the flow gph? Also posting a picture under white lights may help.

no you are fine doing that many wc I would do a 50 percent after that many things have died. how fast did you introduce everything?
