I recieved a used Biocube skimmer when I bought Biocube 29. I can not figure out how to tune my skimmer correctly. I replaced stone with new wood stone. The pump motor is working. When plugged in it produces small white bubbles but does not reach or climb into the skimmer cup. I have adjusted the air valve both directions and do not see any difference in production of bubbles. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

I would try to clean it with vinegar first. When you you plug it in, I would try having the air flow open all the way at first. Once the skimmer gets going, try reducing the airflow until you have figured out what the best level is. I use this method for my skimmer.

Im using one of those now. It took some time to really break in good. ive had mine for a while and still messing with it from time to time. It takes a while to develop a foam substance that will slowly accumulate till starts to push upward. Even after broke in it will stop skimming any time you feed or pit your hand in tank cause of oils. At first mine made almost no skim or very wet non dirty. Now it makes so much it doesnt dissolve fast enoug an i get a cup of foam.
