Hello I have a 29 gallon biocube with current led lights. I have the lights on a timer for about 4.5-5 hours a day. Some how I have a good amount of gha. As far as stocking I have 2 clowns and a bangai cardinal. Hermits and snails. If anytnjnf I say I don't feed enough probably one good feeding a week and my tank is covered in algae. I know there are main factors but is my light too strong?

It looks like a newer tank with live rock and not dry rock. So there may be some Po4 and no3 coming from it. What are your parameters now?

I have 2 turbos gonna get a few more and some emrald crabs. Honestly since it's a smaller tank I buy my saltwater and I use purified water as my top off

Yea. Your very probably feeding the algae with purified water. They have to add stuff back into the water generall for taste and so it has some nutritional benefit.

Figured that might be a source. I used to have an rodi for my 90 but don't need much of a top off. Could I use the water from one of those water stations you see on the side of the road with better results

its basicly the same. The difficulty is we dont know from town to town or bottled brand to brand what is in the water.

Okay I've had a few people tell me with biocubes spring water will be fine. I wanna add some mushrooms and a Kenya tree

Good luck..Its a50/50. I would go distilled over spring. Spring is made to taste good.
the mushrooms and softies will eat up some of the Po.
