Hello, I’ve been lurking from some time now and have learned a lot from this sight. 2 months ago I set up a Biocube32 and currently have 1 Percula clown and 1 fairy wrasse. I’m planning on a mix tank and will start adding coral in about a month so I upgraded the stock light to a Hydra 26. My question is, if I run the Hydra 26 AB+ schedule, would this be too intense of lighting? I currently have the light mounted 13” off of the water. Any advise would be appreciated.

Pick a premade schedule you like and stick with it long term. You can always increase or reduce the intensity by dragging two fingers upward or downward on the lighting graph in the AI app. The ab+ schedule is just fine.

The height is dependant on your personal preference, coral placement and tank size.

I like the light right around where it starts to spill over the sides of the tank so i get good par all the way to the edges.

Good luck!

Hey there, great set up!

Depending on what you want to keep, the AB+ schedule is pretty versatile.

I run an adjusted version of it.

What corals do you plan to get?

Thanks! I definitely plan on picking a schedule and sticking to it, that’s why I got the light now. I figured I had a month to get used to it and find something I liked before introducing corals.

I’d love to keep a mix of softies, lps and sps corals. I plan on getting a filter for my iPhone to take better pictures so it’s easier to see the setup, but thank you!

AB+ will definitely work for you ;)
