Biohome ultimate media safe for saltwater

Bought biohome ultimate media not knowing there was a marine option. If i stick with the regulare ultimate will it affect my tank in any way?

You should be fine, I believe the only difference is the addition of trace elements to the marine version but you may want to contact the manufacturer just to be sure..

I had the same questioned and was told by GreatWave Engeneering that its perfectly fine to use in saltwater. I had about 4lbs in my freshwater tank and used it when I converted it to saltwater.

I had the same question & just found out it contains silica sand, isn't silica the main food source for Dinos

Main source for diatoms. People dose silicates to have a diatom bloom to hopefully outcompete dino's.
