I am working on getting my nitrates back up and I was trying overfeeding but getting no results. I'm kind of not comfortable with that because of possible phosphate issues.
I've read a few people here overstock their tank, I believe to help feed coral and I assume bring the nitrates up.
It's kind of funny , spent my first 3 months or so trying to get nitrates down, now I'm trying to get them up. Go figure.?
My question is:
How do you tell your Bioload isn't overblown?
I've listened to eat breakfast talk about fish stocking " as long as your tank Bioload can handle it" or something to that effect.
Is it the nitrate level that tells you your Bioload is maxed? Or is there some other tell that lets you know to back off?
Tia for any input on this topic.
