Saw this bioluminescence kit available. Wondering if anybody has ever had any of these species in their tanks.

That's from Gulf Specimen Co. I've dealt with them for 50+ years, good folks.

However, this is a demonstration kit, most of the animals are not meant to be kept alive longer than it takes to run the demos. The Ctenophores, for example, fall apart fairly rapidly unless you have a specialized jelly tank to house them. I've tried the Renilla, sea pansies, but they did not live more than a few weeks for me.

Awwww that's a bummer. I'd feel bad doing one of these kits then.

I just got a kit of bioluminescent plankton (i'm hesitant to call them dinos due to stigma around dinos) from pyrofarms.com. Neat thing to have near the tank.

I once grew a culture of this bacteria - very cool!

Are you going to culture them? What these plan with them. I've been debating buying the same set from pyrofarms and culturing it.

Have you tried the parchment worms? Could be interesting.

Yes planning to culture. Right now just for curiosity. Might try to feed small amount to tank but haven't decided yet
