I am looking at getting a jellyfish tank, most recommend the moon jellyfish to start because they are cheaper and more hardy...has anyone had any success with exotic jellyfish? Would love to keep true bio-luminescent jellies not just have an LED run tank... thoughts or comments? which tank do you own and why? TIA

The reason moon jellyfish are so popular has more to do with their lifespan. You are doing really well if you keep these alive for a year. Most other species have shorter life expectancies.

I think comb jellies look cooler, and I also saw a website where you can buy them, but I talked to the guys at the jellyfish art booth at Reefapaloozaand they said they were much more difficult to keep

I've been told the moon jellies live indefinitely. I could be wrong though. Guy at the local store said he's had some for the last 2 years. And they're pretty low maintenance.
