Biopellet reactor

The amount depends on your specific display requirements.
BRS recommends one cup per 50 gallons for their house brand pellets but your brand may be different.

Regardless of the brand I would assume your display has 50 gallons to play it conservative to start.
Let them tumble for two months and monitor NO3, PO4 levels as the bacterial colony develops.
If everything looks good after roughly two months add some more pellets, monitor parameters and repeat until you dial in the appropriate amount for your system.

I am having a new custom display built so have not been acquiring anything all that special for the better part of a year.
Few nicer sticks but none that have grown out enough to consider fragging yet.
Once the new system is up and seasoned I will get resume being active in buy/sell/trade.

Do you ever make it out to any of the Ohio swaps?...Columbus, Cleveland, Dayton?
Don't recall the Pittsburgh area having an annual swap.
If they did I would probably make the trip as I could use visiting family as an excuse...haha.

To be honest i never attended a swap but would be very interested! How do i find when and where these happen? Wow that sounds very exciting do you have a thread of your new system? I'm always entered in making new coral buddys especially if your really close to me!!

I will probably start a build thread in the Spring when all the designs are set and construction begins.

I am not sure if they have any shows out where you are that are good ones.
Have heard the Cleveland show (LEAR) is a pretty good one but I have yet to catch it.
Got to be some west PA hobbyists on here who know what is going on.

Anyway this thread is about biopellets so probably should get back on topic...haha.
