Hey jd i know this is random but i saw your pretty close would you be interested in coral trading?The amount depends on your specific display requirements.
BRS recommends one cup per 50 gallons for their house brand pellets but your brand may be different.
Regardless of the brand I would assume your display has 50 gallons to play it conservative to start.
Let them tumble for two months and monitor NO3, PO4 levels as the bacterial colony develops.
If everything looks good after roughly two months add some more pellets, monitor parameters and repeat until you dial in the appropriate amount for your system.
