I will be soon setting up an SCA 50 gallon and I was looking at going with biopellets. However I don't know much about them. I was looking to get some information on them, whether or not they're the way to go, the difference between them and gfo/carbon and what kind I should get if it is a good way to go. Also if not what do you guys use? Thanks for any help

You are basically creating an enviroment to grow beneficial bacteria. I used to run a phosphate reactor but was taking my phosphates down to low at first for the bacteria to get started. just modified a phosban reactor to make mine only cosr me $40. I have one and works for me. But not really needed unless have a huge fish load
