Ive been running biopellets since September of last year and Ive been having trouble with my reactor every week for some time now. It wouldnt keep the pellets tumbling and sometimes just didnt work at all! I havent been able to keep my ph above 8 even with the windows open in my house and my ORP has been low around 220. Last night I decided to take the entire reactor apart to clean it to see if that would help and holy cow I have never seen so much sludge in my life. I pulled out at least a 1/4 cup of white nasty booger sludge from inside the pipes of the reactor. Pellets are tumbling like they never have before. After I hooked everything back up there was still chunks of sludge flying out of the reactor for a while and got sucked up by the skimmer. I looked at my Apex monitor to check my ph and orp and my ph was 8.1 and orp had risen to 260, which it hasnt been to in months. Could all of that bacterial sludge in the reactor had that much of an effect on my ph/orp?
