will they kill the micro algea in my fuge?
looking to start running them but do know if they are going to kill my fuge anybody know? thanks jeremy

I am using them and they have yet to kill my chaeto or red leaf macroalgae.

Yes, eventually it will kill it off. How fast depends on how much BP you are using and how high the levels of nutrients are in the system. I would take the macro out first so when it does start to die off it does not cause any problems in the tank.

The NP BioPellets help bacteria grow. The bacteria are generally hydrophobic so you want the output to go directly into the skimmer so the bacteria loaded with tank nutrients gets skimmed off.

I dont think removing extra nutrients from your tank will kill of the macro algae. If you noticed slower growth and bioload and feeding are the same then you know the pellets are working.

I'm using them with my SPS tank and still grow cheato.

I have been using them for a few months now and all my chaeto started to die off and turn yellow, in the meantime other problem algae started to show up in the tank, I took the fuge off and it all stopped, now I have very little algae in the tank and what small amount is there is not the fast growing type and is apreciated by the tangs.

I been using them for just over 6 months. I got them when they first hit stateside. I like the theory but still not convinced. I'm upping the quantity. My skimmate got nastier after using them for a month.
