I just got an Aquamaxx dual reactor one will be used for carbon but I'm trying to find a use for the other chamber. I have a RSR 350 with PO4=0, nitrate=0, ammonia=0, and nitite 0 by API,, CA 460 (hannah with DI water), and ALK 10.2 (salifert). I converted the ATO to a refugium but cheap amazon light is either burning Chaeto or has been on for to long so I'm trying to decide what to do with this other chamber. Should I run biopellets, expand fuge and convert chamber to a chaeto reactor, or just leave it be and exchange lights on the existing fuge to somthing like a kessil 80. I want to keep everything in check but I'm afraid if I used GFO as advertised for this reactor my PO4 and nitate will never be at healthy levels for coral, I wlould like to increase just a touch.

Gfo wipes out PO4, you already have zero (which is not real good as it is). You need to get your N & P to at least detectable. I’m going to say, and I’m just spit balling here, your chaeto isn’t doing anything because you have zero N & P. Even people with a huge fuge chamber with tons of chaeto still have N & P
