I started a bioplastic reactor on my 72 gallon mixed reef hoping to just keep nitrates down, not that they are adversely affecting anything just personal preference. i have been running a phosban 150 reactor as well. i started with around half the recommended amount for my tank, however i've since read that it could take out more than i want. i just thought it gave a high capacity place for bacteria to grow and remove nitrates. am i wrong in thinking this? should i remove the reactor? it's been up for almost two weeks i believe.

I ran a 75g mixed reef with the same setup with no problem for over a year but then my softies shrank and died. My lps and sps took off. I would watch to see how to tank reacts.
