Added two yellow tangs from biota today. Other than 2 clownfish they are the only fish in a 240g tank. I just turned the lights on for the first time with them in, and have noticed some aggression. Is this something that will fix itself? How long should I give them to work this out? Tang seems big enough for them to settle, and both are juvenile and small.

Hopefully they calm down lol. Turned the lights off again going to let them relax for a bit longer. They are very nice, can’t wait to watch them grow!

Well they are still at it…think I’m going to have to re home one of them. Maybe I should have started with three? I figured with a bigger tank two would be okay, but not for this pair apparently.

I don’t know much about your setup, but this link has a lot of good advice for dealing with aggressive fish:

I added two Biota Yellow Tangs about three months ago. They were aggressive for the first four or five days, and then they slowly calmed down. Today there is no aggression at all between them.

They really are beautiful fish though!
