Biota Yellow Tang

I just got one too. This has me more excited than when I snagged a PS5 a few years ago

This has been a good week for me also. This week I have gotten Yellow Tangs, Rainbow Splice, AngryBirds and a BigR Walt Disney.

Might have to file bankruptcy next week...

They had some yesterday….I got an email notification on 7/19 that they had a batch ready to be sold at 2 pm (EST) on 7/20. I was so excited that I actually set my alarm for 1:45 so I could be on their site when it hit 2 pm….I was smashing that refresh button right at 2 pm, it was like I was trying to buy concert tickets or something! And I got one! Woo Hoo… so excited!:beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

i had 2 in my shopping cart, clicked check out but not the radial accepting terms and conditions... whomp whomp whomp but i got one in an earlier release.

I'm waiting for the Asfurs and harlequin tusk to come back

Wow thats a nice looking fish…we have come a long way in this hobby….once upon a time yellow tangs were like saltwater goldfish, not much more expensive than damsels, often $10, never more than$30 … many caught with cyanide….
Look at us now …. I’m gonna get me one in the near future…GODD LUCK!!! :D

I'll be honest, I did that same thing. These guys are tiny when they arrive and look translucent, but give them a week and they color up fast. Mine came with the tip of his dorsal fin completely flat and it looked like he had a flat top haircut, but it healed completely within in a week. I put mine in my nano until he gets big enough for the main display, and he now thinks he's a clownfish and tried to go into a nem. He learned real fast that he isn't one though. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

On another note, I thought I had lost the female of my mandarin pair a few days after I put them in, cause it just disappeared. I didn't think I could use their 14 day policy for it, cause I couldn't find the body. Turns out it's been living in the back chamber of the AIO for the past month. :face-with-tears-of-joy: I only saw it because it swam up near the surface when I was doing maintenance. Not sure how it got past the fleece roller.

I have had a biota yellow tang for one week now and he is doing great! Named him Kuzco and just wanted to share his changes in a short week! Such a cool fish to see as a little baby

I'm on the notification list but since I only check my phone occasionally don't have much hope of acting fast enough to actually get one. Neat little fish.

One year later! We've gone through a tank upgrade and he's loving it!

These biotas have become more stable in the market and should do well

Nice to see a success story like this. Here's hoping for more magic from Biota!

Now they just need to get the price of the purples down under $200 for my next tank...
