Hello,
I've had 2 bipartus in my 125G for about a year. The larger one turned into a male about 2 weeks after I put them in. Last week he started picking on the female. This hapen to anyone? More importantly anything I can do? Hate to have to trap him and take the chance of of him dying in the sump or when he is re introduced to the DT.

This is fairly normal as wrasse gender is determined by dominant/submissive roles in a heirarchy so a male picking on a female is normal, but increased aggression could be related to her maturity, as she develops and may become closer to transitioning into a male herself the existing male may be trying to put a stop to that, or she has rebuffed his courtship.

She has gotten bigger but in no way showing any color changes. Sounds like they won't co-exist anymore. Thanks for the reply.
