Bird head/claw looking thing

I noticed this thing because it closed suddenly the other day, and over time it will slowly re-open.

I find it kinda terrifying looking.

Any idea what it is?

Oh! I had one of those hitchhike in on live rock. It’s some kind of bivalve. Let me try to find more info unless someone else beats me to it

If you get near it, it sucks into the rock right? I think it may be a “turkey bivavle” but I’m not an expert. I looked it up forever ago when I got live rock and found a few.

That is correct, when it closes, it gets closer to the rock.
