Bird nest acting up after long vacation.

Went on a 3 week long vacation and of course my ATO broke (was fixed 7 days into my vacation) then my doser got clogged so my alk wasn't dosing.

When I got home I noticed that alk dropped to 6 and calc was around 350-400ish

So I did a nice WC and everything slowly began to recover over the past months. Everything is back to being happy except my green birdnest, not sure what I can do to help it even more. I’ve tried everything and I’m back to a stable 9 alk and 450 calc...

At this point I’m tempted to just cut the healthiest looking piece and throw away all the dead stuff and restart the colony.

I think maybe it’s Alk burn? The tips looks brown..

Yeah looks like the drop in alk was the problem. Personally having had the exact same problem when I went on holiday (but with an acro too). The acro is taking a long time to recover but the birds nest grew back over the skeleton completely in about 6 weeks. Give it a bit more time but the great thing about birds nests are they are fast growers so you can always start again if needs be!
