Bird of paradise question

I have a 6 month old bird of paradise that has a few ( looks like ) dead polyps that have algae on them . See pic . Has anyone gotten this before? Any explanations . It’s got intense lighting, and strong flow , the polyps blowing back and forth. It’s under t5 /LEDS. It has grown and is branching, but IDK what’s with the spots .

Looks like at some point it may have received too much light and got burnt on those tips but was able to recover and adapt.
