I realised my green birdnest coral has a very unique growth pattern. The branches are neat and straight, unlike a typical random formation. The pink birdnest coral is also getting neater as it grows.

I like the growth pattern. However, could you suggest a reason why they grow like this?

Amazing. I would love to have corals like that. I would t change anything.

This is the flow in the region,

The red lines are the direct random flow of two 3400gph wavemaker. The yellow line indicate the gyre-style flow generated by the return pump.

The corals are directly under two 240 watt LED, running at 70% at peak intensity.

Wonder if these has any bearing to the growth form.

Hey thanks! I like it too. On the other hand, finding out why it is growing the way it is, can hopefully help me to keep it neat like this.

The situation is even more bizzare now. My pink birdnest grows in a very dense shape, almost seems like it's trying to strangle itself.

I don't even know if the centre is getting any light or flow. It's just... Impenetrable.
