Hi all
I was told this was a birdsnet but I don't think so

Anyway last week we got some contaminated Purigen ( we believe to be the problem) and in a matter of minutes we lost six fish coral didn't look to great and thecskimmer was foaming away

I have three of these each one went white. One looks like it is recovering the other 1/4 in doesn't look too hot and then the below. He was before the accident White on bottom and nice and blue on top ( I had his lower half not getting hardly any light
Now he looks like this. Why is he orange ( at least under the Radion) and is he dead
All so is he good directly under the light he is approx 14 inches below the light ( Xr15 G4 Pro)
Running at 45 %

And the proper name

Thanks

Hard to tell from the picture, but I believe that is some sort of Acropora. They require alot of light, somewhere in the 250 PAR range. If you were keeping it lower in the tank under not alot of light it'll get upset.

No he was midlevel for a while then I moved up Top and then the accident happened and they ( three of them) were at the bottom of the tank while I moved rock looking for fish then another two days while ill contemplated the loss almost gave up
He at the top again
Here's another picture from the top
Thanks

Yup, that's got to be acropora. You want to keep them high up in the tank. Is he sitting by an anemone? He may be bleaching because its getting stung by the anemone.

Yep acropora, however told you it was birds nest don't purchase from them again, two different corals, with different care requirements

Yes he is by the anemone ( the anemone moved he didn't ) and he was bleached as I mentioned earlier my concern is the coloration he was blue now he's coming back from white to this
If the anemone doesn't move by tomorrow I'll move him
Here he is under just white colors ( a Radion xr15 G4 Pro
