I have a birds nest coral and it was doing really good until recently it started to go south and last night when I looked in the tank when the lights where off it was covered in copepods could they be eating it

They are eating the decaying parts. Look at flow, lighting, and water chemistry. Any alk swings? How often you test alk?

I tested last night and everything is almost right on with no big changes and flow schould be good it's right near a power head but I did just upgrade from t5 to leds

I almost killed mine with GFO now when I run gfo I run it for a day and I have to take it out because all of sps start to look agitated. not sure if you are running gfo but just a thought.

Also did you acclimate your corals with the new LEDs what kind did you get and what % did you start them out on?

I bought 2 of the Chinese 165wat fixtures and they are running at 50 to acclimate everything but I just put them on yesterday and it started before then
