Hey guys,

I have had this pink birdsnest for a while now and the tip have always been white and its been growing good. I have been messing with the setting up my radions and slowly bringing them up. This spot measured 225 par with my buddies meter. I am wondering if this is just new growth or I have started to bleach the coral.
My parameters are
1.024
Po4 ~ .015
Nitrate and Nitrite are both 0, on API but I have beter test kits in the mail
dKH 10
PH 7.9, fighting CO2 I think, 5+ new home

I was thinking I might need to drop the Alk as well or start doing NO3

I will try that for sure.
Should I try to get some No3 in the tank also. Once I get my redsea test kit I can get a better idea of my lower level

If it was an alk problem your birdsnest woulda dropped dead by now, to me it looks like new growth.considering you could see the polyps so theflesh is still their, itsup to you to determine new growth, was it the same size before this happened? Also the acro uptop looks to have necrosis

No its been growing really fast lately, the bridsnest. The pic of the Acro up top if a bad one, its not white in the middle like it looks in the picture.

Ok cool so it looks like new growth, everything else looks fine. If its kinda bothering you, dosing nitrate will get it a little darker, 225 with leds is perfectly fine btw
