Birdsnest with Necrosis

After 3 years of growth, my ORA Birdsnest has developed tissue necrosis from the center out.just cannot get a handle on why.
the only thing off in my system is my Alk/KH which is at, 6.1KH, 2.16Meq/L. Everything else is ok, Iodine/Iodide is at 0.04, Mg 1350, Ca 460, PH 8.2, Temp 78.5, SG 1.026 Refract.

If its anything like mine it's really dense growth especially towards the center. This makes it hard for light and flow, the two most important things, to reach the inner area. Try pruning a little of the undergrowth the expose the effected tissue. Also, a bit of super glue gel on the edge of the dead tissue will help stop its spread(sometimes). Good luck.

If it's greenish in color on the dead portion it could be phosphates leaching out of the rock.
