Birdsnest

Was battleing dinos for awhile. Didn't touch the tank added microbacter7, live plankton and was dosing silica. Diatoms took over and a bunch of algae was on glass. Let it go for a couple weeks then scraped the glass. Some of the algae got on the birdsnest that I didn't see till a couple days later. I got a turkey baster and blew off the brown algae on the coral and blew maybe 40% of the polyps off even tho I didn't blow it that hard. Will the alage that was on it cause a bailout like that? Will those polyps that came off come back? Or is where they came off dead for good? The polyps that are still on look good and extending. Everything else in tank looks good.
