Not sure what make of these lighter areas? AEFW bites? New frags from a nationally known vendor. Nothing came off in dip (DipX). I cut the plugs off along with part of the encrusted perimeter.

That does not look like bite marks. Those are probably areas where it was slightly shaded. Bite marks are smaller and more round. Dip in a solution of 2 Tbs of Potassium Chloride to one gallon of water for 7 minutes. If there's any AEFW it will kill them and you'll see them float off. This will not kill any eggs though. Here's a good example from a Google search:

yes, it doesn’t look like typical bites. I’m debating just tossing them but they otherwise look really good (famous last words). I’ll try to get another look today with different lighting.

cannot see it w tank lights.

Not bite marks. Maybe start of stn or something irritated that area. When in doubt just dab a bit of crazy glue over those areas.

Any nearby corals to sting or upset it?
What is your Ca and alk levels as well as salinity?

The frags are 24 hours old, and the pics were taken just after dipping and before put them in. So it’s not caused by my system.
