I just saw my pink streaked wrasse hiding and acting more skittish than normal. Once I got a further look, something attacked him.

Fish inhabitants:
-pair of ocellaris clowns, female is 3”
-white tail bristle tooth tang
-yellow tang
-(3) different fairy wrasses (all get along)
-coral beauty
-flame hawk

Fish have been together for a few months now and the pink streak was in QT since July with the tangs, clowns, (1) fairy wrasse, and the coral beauty. Rock is from KP aquatics. I’ve pulled out pistol shrimp and one mantis so far. Rock was added 7 months ago. I have lost a royal gramma, seemed to have just disappeared. I do have CUC shells that have shown up, mainly from smaller snails.

Here’s the best pic I could get. The damage is just in front of the tail fin on the bottom side.

Thoughts on suspects?

Update: the wrasse has been hiding in the area of the first pic. But they must be getting enough food as they appear to be healing.

Which fairy wrasses do you have?

Some are complete meanies, and would help if the experts knew what species you had.

Otherwise im looking at the Tangs.
How long has the Tangs been in the tank, and did they plant the Tangtopia flag in your tank declaring it there territory?
