Bitten by carpet addiction…

Here is one of my blue ones (I have two), a royal purple one, and a red one. In another tank I have a pink one, lavender, and another blue one (photos of them are coming soon). I’ve never seen a royal purple or a pink one anywhere else, even in photos. People have mentioned that the pink is a red one that’s bleached, but that’s not the case with mine, you can see the brown zooxanthellae on the underside. I’ll try to get more photos.

Pardon my terrible iPhone skills that make everything look like something from the ‘70s. I’m using 400w 14k Ushio’s on icecap ballast, HQI setting and some T5.

I am looking to add a blue but can’t find one yet. Then I have to re-aquascape to accommodate it.

Mine tend to do the aquascaping for me. The red likes to knock down rocks to make a spot it likes. The other two haven’t cruised, thankfully.

I am still new with carpets bit so far they haven’t moved and I am crossing my fingers that if they decided to move, they don’t float around and get sucked by the powerhead.

I don’t use too many in my tanks, and the only one they run the risk of getting injured by has a large 3D printed guard over it, the risk is just too high otherwise. Thankfully in my other tank they’ve stayed put for years so far.

Nice! It’s amusing how they change shape and size day to day, and even have size/shape cycles based on time of day.

I love them when they are spread out like that and not just flat on the sand.

The purple is the “show off guy”, while the red is the sensitive one and the green at the back is the happy go lucky. I wonder what will be the blue one will be like once it arrived.

I think it will be interesting to watch growth over the years for each of the colors. Looks like the blue may win the most real estate! It's great that they remain so close to one another. It makes a beautiful mosaic.

If they still grow bigger, I think a total re-aquascape is necessary. But I hope they stay close to each other.

They’re all under 225-275 PAR and low flow, enough to sometimes move them gently. IME, this is what they all prefer.

Thanks! I have 13, the female and male been in my tank for 6 or 7 years. The rests are added recently to try if they are going to be a harem. My pair used to laid eggs clockwork but stopped due to move.

My setup is very similar lighting/flow wise...The Haddoni really dont like much flow at all from my experience. Was wondering if this was the norm..thank you!

How large is your tank, I’m curious because I have a 50 gallon corner tank with two clowns. They were added sequentially and while the female hadn’t killed or physically harmed the male it’s not a loving relationship. I’m tempted to toss in 2 other small clowns but have been told it could end badly. Just curious

My tank is 210 gallon. When I added the rest of the clownfish, my pair killed one. They literally pull one from the tail and never let go. I have tried scooping the fish but I can’t. After that, the pair slowly accepted the rest. There are some that are always on the other side of the tank during day time and only goes to the group once in a while but back to the anemone with the rest for whole night.
