I’ve had a mixed group of Black Axil and Blue Green Chromis for about two years but had noticed that one had suddenly matured (much bigger, more robust and more aggressive toward the other Chromis), and now he has apparently convinced a friend to come play with him.
Gender assumptions aside, can anyone tell me if the behavior I’m seeing is truly spawning or mating related? Their actions remind me a lot of the damsels I’ve seen in the wild sitting on a nest.
