I am in the process of setting up a 180g 48x36x24 SPS reef and I'm starting to pick out fish I'd like to keep.

I was wondering what everyone's experience is with the black bar Chromis? I have kept blue Chromis for years and they seem to be good tank mates but can become aggressive towards each other or smaller fish. Would black bar and blue Chromis get along?

Are the black bars peaceful? Or do they become bullies in the tank after they are established.

I plan on also keeping several lyretail anthias so I don't want issues.

Any input would be much appreciated

Thanks!

Did you have good luck with your Chromis? I had 6 Green Chromis. Two died within days, and 2 more died within 6 months. The LFS said that more than half of the Green Chrmis that they get in die within days of getting to the store.

I've always had good luck with blue/green chromis (Chromis viridis). I have some that i've had for years and just recently gave them to a buddy as i moved my system. I may add more to my new display along with the black bars
