Was wondering what this type of algae or bacteria this is? And any tips on combatting it. Let in a little natural light for a better picture below...
Background info: Transferred my 30 gallon of half a year into a 125 gallon. The 125 gallon has been up for about 2 months so I realize I’m still in the “uglies”. Everything else checks out param wise, however I’m still lowering my phosphate and silicate levels to a more desirable range. I’m running some Fluval media designed to lower phosphate and silicates.
My lighting is 3 Dsuny, 165W leds, as well as a LED light bar. 1 4000 gph powerhead, 1 2100 gph powerhead and a fluval fx6 canister with various media.
Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

Throw in some green and you got yourself a real case of the new tank uglies:)
What kind of rock did you add to the 125 ?
Oh boy let me tell ya, I had a week of the craziest brown diatom bloom I’ve ever seen, luckily fish weren’t in there yet.
I added maybe 15-20 pounds of caribsea dry rock
25-30 pounds of live Fiji rock from the original 30 gallon
Also added 80 pounds of live sand and carried over about 20lbs from the original 30 gallon.
