Black box too much for a softie tank? 90g. considering them for change.. presently have two 24 inch 4 bulb fixtures.

I changed from t5s and I'm actually pleased but remember not all black boxes are built the same.

I really like my viparspectra Black Box but wasnt really satisfied with the MarsAqua lens seem to have more of a beam then my Viparspectra seems to spread better.

Answering your question you can grow anything within a 2'x2' area.

Of them. You'll want to keyword wifi or ramping.
I'm an sbreeflight fan. USA seller in Florida.

galaxy hydro or mars aqua is also decent.

On the low low end a no frills 16in bb is $90 a wifi one is $125.
Wifis are all bit wanky to set up.

The SB are 135 for a basic and I don't recall the wifi price.
I'd look at the SBs this weekend. Mike the owner has a huge Black Friday cyber Monday thing going.

You'll want one 30in or two or three 16,s.
I went with 3 on my 48w 55g. Gives better coverage more t5 like.

I just spent about $700 on various black Friday stuff. including a rodi , a rkl, and a new powerhead for the tank. pluss assorted stuff for the house.. this will be a future purchase.

I wanted to try SB Reef Lights i may in the future i really like the features the ramping one offers even it is around $200.
And his lens and Led setup probably is the best black box wise.
No useless led like some of the Amazon and Ebay black boxes.
