Where is the nem going and did you just upgrade the light? You might have to turn the power down and slowly turn the power. Just acclamation to light.

Here is my 29 bio cube with my old black box. About 12”

I’ve had the lights for a long time now just haven’t found the right height my old 16” tall tank I kept my light 13” off 100 blues etc but this one I go 13” and everything gets ticked and closes

20-24 inches above the water is about right, why?
-those CBB lights push a lot of PAR, so higher, better.
-higher creates better coverage.
-higher helps to blend the individual spectrums better.

Have you watched the BRS black box video? BRS said the Phlizon should be hung 18" above water for the best efficiency. If you want to remove the lenses, you could hang it lower.

Removing the lenses will allow for more light blending, but will reduce the par at deeper levels in the tank. Lowering the light fixture can compensate this effect.

Lenses will focus the light beam. This is highly dependent on the lense type (90-120 degree) Removing them spreads the light out.

What strengths would you recommend for the individual lights, i keep hearing 50% actinic 20% white light at this height, would you concur?
