It's adjustable! I can raise or lower to my desire. Like I said it was an old photo. In that picture it's 12" high and I now run it at 9.5".

Always enjoy nice pics!

7.5 gallon budget build running for a little over two months. Aquaclear 70 HOB and $65.00 165 watt BB off ebay. Light is on a PVC frame hanging 12" above the tank. Usually run 25% white and 40% blue. Still learning, can't wait to move up to a larger nano.

I was initially using a dimmable bb but now running an Ocean Revive T247 on my JBJ 20 and really like it. Blues are 50% and whites currently at 5%. I initially had them up to 15% but being roughly 8” or so above a shallow tank I started to bleach some of the SPS. Everyone seems to be happy now (minus the clownfish in the isolation box lol).

After only having my 7.5 gallon set up for two months I'm thinking about using two bbs on a 40 breeder I picked up. Probably go with Wi-Fi on those though.

@Maritimer let's see yours?

Well, all righty then . . .

Kingston & Zoey's Reef is a 220 gallon display (purchased used - formerly the tang sales tank at one of my fave LFS), supported by a 40-breeder sump. Two 300 watt MarsAqua fixtures hang overhead, one slightly higher than the other, due to differing lengths of wire leader provided by the manufacturer. The diode layouts are different as well; one fixture is a year newer than the other, and doesn't have any of the deep "royal" blue diodes in it. I can't tell the difference in coral fluorescence between the two (newer one is on the left side), but I do get noticeably more algae on the glass on that side.

I don't have any newer "classic" FTS, and the lights are all but out for tonight, but here's a look at life on Kingston & Zoey's Reef - first video, up close, from the beginning of November:
A few photos of individual corals (and a maxima clam) - most are fairly small, some were obtained at a larger size. The tank's been running for about 3/4 of a year, but had issues with bacterial and phytoplankton blooms through much of the summer:

And a feeding video from last week. You may note a few changes, even from a month ago:
