I built this today off another forum member's plan - Sanjeet - it turned out pretty well. Holding up two 165W Viparspectra LED black box.

Looks good! I made a similar hanger out of extruded aluminum t-slot on my first tank and it worked well. The brackets and hardware used are aluminum or stainless right? The bolts that came with the t-slot ended up rusting on mine, they were coated but not good enough apparently.
 
Looks very nice! I have the same lights and used wall mounts for a TV. Don’t think I could build something like this.

Yeah, the brackets are all zinc coated aluminum, same as all the hardware; I hope that it holds up, but only time will tell!
 
Nicely done. By Sanjeet, you may mean Sandeep, as that is user name of person that came up with this idea back in 2017 on RC.

I used his idea and made something similar for my lights as well

I like what you've built there, and yes, that is what I meant. Wrote down the wrong name, my bad.
