Does anyone know what these black bubbles are on the coral, and should it get rid of them?

hi,green bubble algae.

What else would they go after?
If they get too hungry- they may go after coral. You'll see some mixed reviews on the emerald crab with some saying it ate coral and others had no problem. I have one now that I feed everyday (just seaweed) and he hasn't touched anything else. But he has done a great job at keeping the bubble algae at a min

Are they only on the frag plug? If so, super easy to remove the bubble algae and not hurt the cloves attached.

Remove plug from tank and remove a cup or 2 of tank water. split it into 2 containers.
Scrape off the bubble algae from the plugs, but be careful not to scrape the cloves.
Rinse off the plug in the first container of old tank water. Discard water down drain.
APply a small bit of hydrogen peroxide (3% is OK) with a q-tip to where the bubble algae was. Take care not to get any on the cloves.
Wait 1-2 minutes (cloves will be fine out of water for a few minutes)
After that, rinse the plug in the other cup of tank water. Discard that water down the drain as well.
Place coral back in tank.

The cloves will be a little mad for a bit, but should be fine.

Definitely coral eaters. But really good to have around for bubble algae. It’s a double edged sword, but worth it. Keeping them fed certainly helps.
