Black Cyanobacteria in my sump

After using NOPOX that perfectly lower my Nitrates, my sump got full of cyanobacteria. I removed it and now here we go again. I stopped using NOPOX but my sump is getting that again. Any advice. My marinepure block is cover on it same as a big rock I have. Main Display is perfect.

NOPOX is a form of carbon dosing which can contribute to cyano growth, I suspect you will need to try other forms of nutrient export in order to cure the cyano issues and also bring down nutrient levels.

Did you change anything or what did you do to get rid of it in your sump?
