Black (darwin) ocellaris x black ice ocellaris breeding thread

I'd say get a thermometer in that and see for sure where you are at. I'd bet the fluctuations in temp are your problem. How are you aerating the eggs, can you still clearly see the larvae inside, are the eggs turning white at all?

I have two rigid air lines going to them ... and ya I don't really see any milky white eggs like people say they look exactly the same as before

Today is day 13 for the eggs and five have hatched but the eggs still look normal so maybe tn for the rest of them got to be about 200 left

Best pics of the little guys so small and fast

It's such an early batch. With the temperature being low. You will have much more success in the future!

Ya I guess that's true I guess the 7-10, will, be a good tester for the next batch.... here's a good pic of the rotifers I gey straining 4 liters of water

So the real number is 5 that I got which is really disappointing but hey it was my first attempt and pulled the pot early so it was a learning experience for sure

Started laying around four pm I was pretty shocked I missed the first two lays but this morning I and a buddy of mine who breeds clowns were looking at her and she looked huge and her ovipositor was out so I knew today was the day. Unfortunately I looked over at like 430 and their were already 100 eggs laid. Got a very good video of the eggs being laid

Nice. Excited to check em out when theyre hatched. My clowns have been really funny lately would be cool if they lay but im not ready to handle any hatching
