Black dots?

Both of my clowns have black dots on them. Not a lot. Maybe like a couple but what are they? I haven't seen any on my tang.

Not sure what but it's noting to worry about. My female clown is almost all black now.

sometimes it can be marks from making contact with stinging corals that it cant handle. it seems to be common on clowns who host elegance, galaxia, and hammers/frogspawn.

Spots look too large to be turbellarians aka black ich. I've this happen with ocellaris before, but I do not know why.

But they aren't going to die right? I'm treating my tang right now with kanaplex for something else but they eat the same food if that helps for anything maybe.

I've seen dark spots come & go on some ocellaris with no further consequences. The thing you want to watch for is whether the dark spots are just the beginning of something else which will soon manifest itself: Bacterial infection, brook, uronema.

I've probably had about 3-4 months

I would just observe for now. Update this thread with new pics if it gets any worse.

agree with everything above. Remember too, that juvenile clowns are still developing their color. Your smaller clown looks like he may get darker as he gets older. Just monitor them

With no corals, this does not really apply, but clowns do develop the black dots when they rub on new corals and nems when trying to find a good host. Although is all you have is two zoas, probably not that. All my ocellaris go through spotty periods. although, mine were from corals. Just keep and eye on them as others have said.
