Black frag rack PVC

Is this OK to use? Guy at lumber yard called the black pipe AVS or something like that which I am guessing might be a different material than the white stuff?

Avoid ABS, reguardless of what the federal government tells you about your food. It does have cancer causing properties to it. And it harder to work with. PVC is the most available material and easy to work with. CPVC is the better and used for potable water under current building codes. Then there’s pex which is awesome but not as widely available in non metal parts ( unless you have a plumber connection).
If it needs to be black, use pvc and paint it.
