I picked up two 40 watt Pentairs from BRS; unfortunately the brackets (black or orange) are out of stock.

I picked up a Pentair 25watt from BRS. Sucks those mounts have been sold out. Not sure how I’m going to mount lol the others look big and bulky

Not sure how big the diameter of the housing is but I ran into a similar issue with my 57w Aqua UV and I found that the clips that hold the RO canister were just about the same size as both the housing and the ballast. It let me just snap it in as long as you don’t have too much weight pulling away from the clips. Could be an option if yours is the same diameter of if there are smaller clips out there.

Is the main diff between the 5” and 3” body the amount of water throughput?

I believe the body diameter is related to dwell time or the amount time the volume of water is in or passing through the tube. I could be wrong.
