But I used to have black hornets. They are a little more difficult to keep happy and that's probably why they aren't seen very often.

Those definitely do not have alternating skirts...Each lash was a combo of dark and yellow in my opinion

I had black hornets, red, blue, purple, and rainbow and cb all at the same time. Definitely all nice in their own way but red purple and blue are best imo. Rainbows are also nice but somewhat smaller. Black isn't worth it due to the overprice. It's okay but nothing special.

I actually have a thread about all the hornets on here. I only have red and purple and rainbows these days. The rest have been culled or lost.

I always thought to be Hornets Zoas they'd have to have vivid middle ring and color alternating skirts. But they are awesome!

But then again it's all a marketing scheme. I remember when they were first called Deep Water Zoas and then Japanese Zoas.
