Black Ice X Black Snowflake Eggs!!

Not yet! The female has been looking very plump though. I have been pretty good about small frequent water changes, and I'm feeding like crazy. Plus I have a new skimmer with the pump in the water. Has kept my water quality better and warmer too, now very stable between 80-82. I keep watching for her ovipositer, I want some pictures and video of the spawn this time! Originally I had guessed spawn #2 would be 12 days after the first, but I'm giving it a few more nights.

Nice!!! Came home today around midnight to an awesome (but somewhat expected) suprise. I'm just glad they layed in the pot this time!!! Woo!!! I'll have to get a better picture tomorrow in order to get a head count. But I counted at least 160. It has been 16 days since the last lay. Clutch #1 May 27, clutch #2 June 12. Both at night/ late evening. Awesome!

That's awesome. I've heard (not sure how true it is) that fish spawn can be related to the moon cycles in the wild for some fish. Not sure if it would relate to the aquarium or not.

Sully, I have heard that as well. And the spawn does coincide with the full moon tonight. Interesting stuff. Even though there isn't really a tide, I'm sure the moon has some other effects on the home aquarium.

I count around 205 (+/-10)

Nice I love blacker ice, I am also curious. I an hoping to get offspring with a dark body and a lot of white with orange fins. I will bet they produce a fair number of offspring that look like blacker ice.. hopefully with the mothers shiny belly patches. Also since they are both carrying the snowflake gene I expect a fair number of premium barring, and maybe even some all white offspring. I don't think I will get "mocha" because both parents carry at least one dark gene. Idk I'm very interested

Lol I have no idea! I guess grade and initial investment would factor the cost. And I have never shipped before so that would be new experience! Plus it would be too much pressure to start guaranteeing anything now!!! But I'll make a note here skipper. You got first in line :)

Metro Detroit, MI. Yea I have two pairs from booyah. And one pair of donis reef lineage F2. platinums. The booyahs are so nice, I want to order an addison quest onyx percula from him.
