I haven't added anything new except some zoas about 2 weeks ago. I dipped them before putting them in my display but no quarantine. The fish seem fine. The orange clownfish seems to have tiny black dots. Is this black ich and how do I treat? Should I treat my other fish also? I prefer not to let my tank run fallow for any period of time really.

Yup black Ich is actually a type of fluke. Freshwater dip per link above to know for sure

@Humblefish, that makes sense. He has been hosting a frog spawn since her Nem died. I've added a new RBTA but she doesn't host it. How can I get my clowns to host my BTA and not the frogspawn?

Try taking the frogspawn out until the clowns go into the BTA. However, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't go right back to the frogspawn when you put it back in (fish can be stubborn).

You could also just place the frogspawn in an acclimation box or find some other clever away of isolating it away from the clowns. However, if they can still see it that might delay their going into the BTA. ;)

I've been watching the fish and he hasn't been hosting any of the frogspawn but I'm starting to see him hosting My Duncans. Can the Duncan's be the culprit?

It's possible. Clowns that are new to hosting or new to a certain host can show the spots like that until they get used to the sting of that particular host.

My two stubby ocellaris began hosting my green bubble tip about 3-4 months ago. Since then they have develop more of these spots. They had no spots before and were QT'd with Cooper and prazi before going back into display after it had been fallow for 72 days from previous ich. Some pics to follow. Let me know what you think

It's called hypermalinization. Which I can't spell AT ALL. lol It's what happens when clowns get stung by something new, like a new nem or coral. Simply put, it's normal and will go away as they get used to the new nem.

They have been with it now for a few months. I am about two weeks from adding new fish from TTM and QT observation, so I want to make sure they are disease free before putting new inhabitants in DT.

From all the articles it looks like hyper-melanization, but I just want toms expert opinions.

Thanks all

They should be fine.
