Black ich

So I got a new yellow tang which died a week later... The guy who sold it to me had about 20 in the same tank and he picked it out. He was very thin but I couldn’t say a thing once he was bagged because I am unbelievably stupid. Having no proper qt tank for this size a fish I put it in DT anyway. Nothing was visible aside from it being thin. Long story short he died and the next day I finally noticed my 3 inch hippo tang has 2 black spots the size of a grain of salt... I immediately put it in qt and treated with api general cure. He’s still eating and was the only other fish in the DT which only has inverts corals and anemones. I am planning to go fallow for as long as it takes but I stumbled upon the spruce pets page. How long should I stay fallow? Another post says 4 weeks for turbellarian worms but this site is quite discouraging. Can someone confirm which information is right? Please and thank you
