Black leopard wrasse & mystery wrasse

Not a recommended course of action. Mystery wrasse are quite aggressive and assertive and black leopard (most leopard but black in particular) are quite fragile, docile, and shy. Mystery and six line wrasse can be literal demons in fish tanks, to fish much larger and especially similar in shape.

mystery wrasse are almost incompatible with everything added after them that isn't bigger and stronger including invertebrates.

Ok thanks guys. I have both in separate tanks and I’ve had them both about 3-4 years now just trying to tear one tank down and move one of them over but I guess that’s a no go haha.

I'm going to try adding my mystery wrasse last with my ornate leopard. I have two more wrasses so hopefully having 4 will reduce aggression. It's a 6 ft tank so there is some room for territory

Ive had a Mystery Wrasse about 2 years. I must have the peaceful version. He's gone through 2 tank upgrades and varying fish mates. Never a problem. Currently he's housed with a Red Christmas Tree Wrasse, an Ornate Leopard Wrasse, Cleaner Wrasse and Filamented Wrasse as well as a pair of Pygmy Filefish. In a 48 gallon tank.

Now my Scarlett Pinstripe Wrasse and Lubbocks Wrasse, which are housed in other tanks, they are killers.

Yes I kept several leopard wrasse with several fairies and a mystery wrasse in a 180. They aren’t 6 lines as someone compared them. A little more territorial than a yellow Coris

Never had issues with my six-lines. Always had one in my 25 years of fish keeping. 1 in a 10 g nano with clown fish and goby. One currently in a large 500g with a variety of large and small fishes and no issues. Always love the way they look with the green tail and independent moving eyes
