So I converted a black molly for my reef. I had it quarantined for 6 weeks before putting in the reef (not for itself but to make sure that my other fish in qt were disease free) it has been in my display for about 3 months without issue.
No other fish additions to the tank, though I did put 2 plugs of corals (dipped beforehand on Saturday).
This morning I noticed that it has white coloration on its dorsal fin that looks Cotton like- what is on the fin is def not spot-like. I don’t think it is ich, but wonder if it is bacterial. And whether I should worry about treating my display. I put the molly in quarantine.
What I am talking about is on the torso and dorsal fin all the other spots are from dirty glass of the tank.
The fish shows no other symptoms so far. No flashing, or labored breathing.
