Black ring

Hey my foxface got a white spot that developed into a black ring. Any ideas?

My foxface gets similar spots (although not exactly the same) every once in a while. They go away after a day or two. I've been assuming he's getting poked by the tangs in the tank when they're jostling for nori. I've decided not to worry about it and so far so good. Maybe it's something similar with yours?
